Who Are We?
We are an Improvisers and Comedians Guild dedicated to supporting our members by offering training, performances, perks, compensation, and career-building resources.
PERFORMANCES
Our members perform long form improvisation, stand-up and scripted material at The Comedy Clubhouse in Chicago's Wicker Park. Our comedy club is the highest rated Chicago club on Facebook and Google, a Critic's Pick in PerformInk, a Top 7 Comedy Club in Time Out Chicago, a finalist for Best Venue for Stand-up in the Chicago Reader, and Best Comedy Club Near You in Urban Matters. (Read all the press about us!) Our members receive more performance opportunities than any other institution.
PERKS
We are a membership-based organization that collects monthly dues from its members in exchange for providing training, performances, perks, resources, and the ability to be compensated for your work. Our list of perks continues to grow rapidly including giving our members 50% of online ticket sales for audiences they bring, the ability to put up your show with no rent and 50% of ticket sales going to you, and more!

CAREER
In addition to offering member perks, we do everything we can to invest in our members' careers. We bring in SAG-AFTRA for Q & A's about the industry and have been the host venue for Reductress workshops. We create Showcases for your best work, invest in marketing and invite agents to our Main Stage performances. It is in our best interest to match your drive to success!
MEMBERSHIP
Guiding our members' progress from Apprentice to Artisan, we train improvisers, comics, writers, and creatives across many comedy disciplines. In addition to regular classes or rehearsals with experienced coaches and teachers, we also supplement your education with a private, online Education Resource Center. We'll even try and throw in workshops from successful artists in the industry whenever they are in town!

$50 a month (per discipline)
Receive training, performances, perks, compensation, and opportunities to build your career. Whether it is a show or rehearsal, you will have something to do every week. Specialize in the discipline that makes you feel comfortable or add other disciplines if your goal is to be well-rounded.
We believe in keeping our membership as low as possibility to be as accessible to as many people as possible. We haven't raised it since we began the membership based system in 2011. We have been adding perks from day one. Join us!
