In addition to offering member perks, we do everything we can to invest in our members' careers. We bring in SAG-AFTRA for Q & A's about the industry, hold workshops and lectures, and have been the host venue for Reductress workshops. Our private online site provides resources for local open mics, rehearsal rental spaces in the area, and reviews on local training institutions.


We will do what we can to offer a support system to match your drive.

We're proud of the successes of many of our members who have graced our stages in the past. They are the best examples of hard work, dedication, and taking ownership of your own career!

Alan Linic

Alan is best known for being a writer on Saturday Night Live. He was also a member of the Second City Etc stage. Alan performed with One Group Mind team Plan B Stanley.

Andel Sudik

Andel is most known for her Jeff-Award Winning work on cast of the Second City ETC stage in the revue "We're All in this Room Together". She is also a current Second CIty teacher. Andel was with us for 3 years on the team Teenage Carthrobs.

Anthony LeBlanc

Anthony LeBlanc is known for his work on Knight Squad (2018), Meet the Voxels and The Tim&Micah Project: PILOT (2014). He was also a Second City Main Stage Director. Anthony performed with us for 3 years on the team Teenage Carthrobs.

Arlieta Hall

Arlieta can be seen on Showtime's The Chi as an episodic series co-star. She's also had a principal role on American Greed. Arlieta was with us for 3 years, performing with team Maximus Maximus, as well as in our Main Stage Mic as a House Comic.

Brendan Scannell

Known for playing Pete Devon in the Netflix series Bonding (2019) and Heather Duke in the Paramount Network series Heathers (2018), Brendan sent 4 years with us at The Titanic Players at Northwestern University.

Britt Lower

Britt Lower was with our collegiate organization, The Titanic Players. Lower had a recurring role as technology expert Tanya Sitkowsky in the 2011 series, Unforgettable. In 2015, she began what's considered her breakout role in the FXX comedy series Man Seeking Woman, portraying Liz Greenberg, the sister of the main protagonist. Lower was signed for a recurring role in the Hulu original series Casual in season 2, as Sarah Finn. She has also appeared in commercials for Verizon.

Dan Foster

Dan is known for his writing for Drop The Mic and and as a teacher and actor with Story Pirates. He was also with team Old Tom Jar from Northwestern University for 4 years where his team won the 2008 College Improv Tournament. Dan went on to perform with teams Frank Frank and Tricky Mickey as well as becoming an OGM coach and Associate Artistic Director.

Dewayne Perkins

Dewayne's writing credits include: NBC's Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Netflix's The Break with Michelle Wolf, the WGA Awards, The Webbys, the Amber Ruffin Show, and the 2018 White House Correspondents Dinner, in which a joke he wrote was listed as one of The New Yorker's "Best Jokes of 2018." Dewayne is a member of the award-winning comedy collective 3Peat, whose Comedy Central digital short, "The Blackening," written by Dewayne, went viral with more than 15 million views. Dewayne spent 2 years with The Titanic Players.

Devin Bockrath

Devin has appeared in both comedic and dramatic roles in Netflix's Orange is the New Black and Comedy Central's The Other Two and CBS's Tommy. Devin was with team Partyin' Yossarian.

Esther Povitsky

Esther plays Maya on the critically acclaimed series Crazy Ex Girlfriend. Other recent television appearances include Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Love, and Parks and Recreation. Povitsky also survived several rounds of 2015's Last Comic Standing (season 9), drawing praise from judge Rosanne Barr. She spent 2 years with us at The Titanic Players from the University of Illinois in Champagne.

Jaboukie Young-White

Jaboukie is best known for being the newest correspondent on the Daily Show. He has performed stand-up on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and recently taped his half hour for Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents. Jaboukie can be seen on the current season of HBO’s Crashing. Previously, Jaboukie was a staff writer on Netflix’s American Vandal and Big Mouth. Jaboukie spent 4 years with us in the Titanic Players at Depaul University.

Jay Sukow

Jay has been a guest performer at Boom Chicago, the Second City, the Second City ETC, the Second City Northwest and Messing with a Friend. Jay has written, produced and been a cast member of the narrative features “American Legacy” and directed “Trubadeuax: A Restaurant Movie,” both of which feature improvised dialogue within a scripted storyline. Jay was on our One Group Mind Team Dewitt for 3 years.

Jen D'Angelo

Jen's writing credits include Workaholics, The Millers, Comedy Bang! Bang!, and Cougar Town. Jen was with us for 4 years in the Titanic Players at Northwestern University and was part of team Daddy Mags that won the 2010 National College Improv Tournament.

Jessica is a writer and actress, known for Green Screen Adventures (2007), Sesame Street (1969) and Mermaid Down (2019) winning a Daytime Emmy for her work. Jessica was with us for 4 years at The Titanic Players at Northwestern University on team Dr. Flux.

Jessica McKenna

Jessica McKenna

Jessica can be seen regularly performing at UCB with the musical improv teams Magic to Do and Baby Wants Candy. Her TV credits include Comedy Bang! Bang! and Adam Ruins Everything while her voice credits include Cartoon Netwrok, Netflix, and Amazon. Jess was with us at The Titanic Players at Northwestern University for 4 years.

John Thibodeaux

John is an actor and writer, known for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (2015), Stephen Colbert's Live Election Night Democracy's Series Finale: Who's Going to Clean Up This Sh*t? (2016) and The 69th Primetime Emmy Awards (2017). John Thibodeaux performed with Team Partyin' Yossarian is an original member of 3peat, a critically acclaimed group.

Kate Duffy is an actress and writer, known for Open Tables (2015), Close Quarters (2012) and Stars in Shorts: No Ordinary Love (2016). She was with our One Group Mind team Sleauburn for 2 years.

Kelly O'Sullivan is an actress and writer, known for Saint Frances (2019), Sirens (2014) and Ladies' Night (2017). She was also a 4 year member of The Titanic Players from Northwestern University

Laura Grey

Most recently, Laura served as head writer on Comedy Central’s “Jordan Klepper Solves Guns” and debuted her series “Ex-Girlfiend,” which won the TruTV development award at the New York Television Fest. She was also a member of Second City's ETC stage. Her pilot “House of Delta” (written with Megan Stein) was bought by Universal Cable Productions. Laura was with us at The Titanic Players at Northwestern University for 4 years.

Liz Cackowski

Liz became a member of Second City's Main Stage and promptly became a writer for Saturday Night Live. She's know for her work on Community (2009-2010) The Last Man on Earth (2015), Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), Wine Country, and Neighbors (2014). Liz was with the Titanic Players at Northwestern University for 4 years.

Marla has performed in Second City Theatricals productions in Miami and San Diego, as an understudy on the Second City mainstage, aboard the NCL Dawn and Spirit, and around the country with Second City Communications. Marla was with team Teenage Carthrobs for 3 years.

Mike Castle is best known for his lead in the new Netflix series, Brews Brothers, created by accomplished producers and writers Greg and Jeff Schaffer. Mike was also a 4 year member of The Titanic Players from University of Illinois in Champagne-Urbana.

Known as Nice Peter or Blue Socks, his two you tube channels, Nice Peter and Epic Rap Battles (ERB), have a total of over 17 million subscribers, and 4 billion views as of February 2019.

Peter McNerney

Peter is known for Stuff You Should Know (2013), Tickle Monsters ARE Robots! (2010) and Search Party (2016) and a commercial or two. He was also the Head of the Training Center of the Magnet Theater in NY. Peter was with us in The Titanic Players at Northwestern University for 4 years.

Piero Procaccini

Piero has been teaching improv and sketch comedy for over a decade, currently at Second City. Piero was with our team under Oath for 3 years and became our first coach of an OGM Professional Team, team Teenage Carthrobs.

Sarah Sherman

Voted best stand-up comedian by the Chicago Reader in 2016, Sarah is the newest featured player for Saturday Night Live. She was 4 year member of our Titanic Players at Northwestern University.

Vik Pandya

Vik is a nationally touring stand up comic based in Chicago. His comedy album 'Friends With 401(k) Benefits' debuted #1 on iTunes & Top 10 on the Billboard Charts. He's opened for both Roywood Jr. & Michelle Wolf and stars in the critically acclaimed web series 'Code Switched'. Vik performed with House Team Conscious Pontius and produced our Main Stage Mic for years.

Zoe Jarman

Actress, comedian and writer who rose to fame as Betsy Putch on the first two seasons of the FOX sitcom The Mindy Project. She is also a writer for the Comedy Central series Workaholics and the Netflix series Master of None. You can see her currently on the Birthday Boys. Zoe was with us for 2 years at The Titanic Players at Northwestern University.

Mike Abdelsayed

Creative Artistic Director

Mike is the designer of our Training Program, in addition to being the owner of The Comedy Clubhouse in Chicago, and the founder and Artistic Director of both One Group Mind and The Titanic Players. Mike was an iO coach and house team performer, an understudy for Keegan Michael-Key at Second City, and a member of Second City's Outreach and Diversity Company. Coached by Liz Allen, Noah Gregoropolous, and Miles Stroth, Mike's iO team, Valhalla, was the most tenured team at the time and 2-time winners of the Del Award for Best Team during their 6 years together. Mike's original play, Wishin' Control, was a critic's pick in PerformInk. Mike has improvised for over 25 years and has coached over 100 teams, some for as long as 7 years. Under his direction, his collegiate organization became the only 2-time winners of the National College Improv Tournament. His venue, The Comedy Clubhouse was named a top 7 comedy club by TimeOut Chicago, a Top 7 by Travel Mag, Top 9 by Urban Matters, and Top 13 by MyBartender. Many of his students have continued successful careers in The Office, Community, Arrested Development, SNL, Reno 911!, the Jimmy Kimmel Show, Cougartown, The Mindy Project, Man Seeking Woman, Last Man on Earth, Key and Peele, The Chi, Parks and Recreation, the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and the Ellen Degeneres show, to name just a few! In addition to 25 years of improvisational experience, Mike graduated from Northwestern University with a double major in Economics and Communications. You can currently see Mike perform regularly at The Comedy Clubhouse with the acclaimed group, Tricky Mickey.
